Active bench warrant / failure to appear

• Do not ignore it. An outstanding bench warrant can lead to further penalties, hold on your record, and possibly a hold on your driving record.
• Contact the court that issued the warrant as soon as possible to learn the next steps and any lawful ways to address the FTA.

Upcoming court date

• Missing a scheduled court date can result in additional charges or a warrant. Act before the date; do not wait until the day of.
• If you cannot appear, ask the court about legally available alternatives such as appearing remotely or requesting a continuance.

DUI charges

• DUI matters are serious and often time-sensitive. Promptly seek a licensed attorney experienced in DUI defense.
• If you were arrested, note the date and preserve any documentation you received.

Suspended or revoked license

• Driving with a suspended or revoked license carries serious penalties. Do not drive unless you are authorized to.
