Privacy Policy
We treat your citation photos and personal information as sensitive data. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and how you can have it deleted.
The short version
We collect only what we need to prepare, review, and track your citation documents. We never sell your case files or uploaded sensitive case information. Citation photos, driver's-license information, and dates of birth are treated as sensitive and are encrypted in transit and protected at rest. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements.
What we collect
- Ticket photo(s) you upload for scanning and document preparation.
- Driver's-license information (number) and date of birth, when provided, to prepare accurate paperwork.
- Contact details — name, email, phone, and optional mailing address.
- Case details — citation number, court, violation code, dates, amounts, and notes you provide.
- Supporting documents you choose to upload.
- Basic technical data such as device/browser type, needed to operate and secure the site.
How we use it
- To scan and review your citation and identify potential issues.
- To prepare and review the documents you request.
- To email you your prepared documents and receipts, and case status.
- To comply with legal obligations and operate our business securely.
How we store and protect it
Ticket photos, driver's-license information, dates of birth, and supporting documents are stored in access-controlled storage. Access is restricted to staff who need it to prepare or review your case. Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant processor (Stripe); we do not store your full card details.
Advertising, cookies, and analytics
We keep advertising separate from the customer case workflow. Google AdSense may be enabled only on informational pages such as Resources, FAQs, courthouse guides, and similar reference content. We do not intentionally load AdSense on the ticket scanner, intake form, checkout flow, case-tracking pages, or administrative tools.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies on pages where advertising is enabled to serve, measure, limit, and personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your region, consent choices, browser signals, and applicable settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage ad preferences through My Ad Center.
- Essential cookies and storage support site functionality, security, session continuity, and customer workflows.
- Advertising technologies may operate only on designated informational pages.
- Sensitive case data is excluded from ad targeting. We do not provide your uploaded ticket image, driver's-license number, date of birth, case notes, case status, or payment details to Google AdSense for advertising targeting.
- Privacy choices may be presented through Google or other consent/opt-out tools where required by applicable law or platform policy.
Rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) may give you rights to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activities where those rights apply. Advertising cookies or identifiers may be treated as "sharing" or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even when no money changes hands.
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising applicable privacy rights.
We do not sell your case files, uploaded citation images, driver's-license information, dates of birth, case notes, or payment information. To exercise an applicable privacy right or ask a question about advertising data, contact us through the methods below.
How long we keep it
We retain case records for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy legal/record-keeping obligations, and for a reasonable period afterward. You may request deletion earlier (see below). We delete personal data when it is no longer needed for these purposes.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do so, contact us with your name and the email or tracking code used for your case. We will act on verified requests within a reasonable time. If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, you may also contact your state's data-protection authority (in California, the California Privacy Protection Agency).
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page.
