What is a Failure to Appear (FTA) suspension?
An FTA suspension occurs when you miss a court date for a traffic citation. The court notifies the DMV, which then suspends your license until the matter is resolved. Our attorneys can appear on your behalf to clear the FTA and get your license reinstated.
What is a Failure to Pay (FTP) suspension?
An FTP suspension happens when you fail to pay a traffic fine by the due date. The DMV suspends your license until the fine is paid and any reinstatement fees are cleared. We can negotiate payment plans and handle the paperwork.
How long does reinstatement take?
Most FTA/FTP reinstatements are resolved within 2–6 weeks, depending on the court's schedule and DMV processing times. Urgent cases with imminent court dates can often be expedited.
Can I drive while my license is being reinstated?
No. Driving on a suspended license is a criminal offense that can result in additional fines, arrest, and vehicle impoundment. Do not drive until your license is officially reinstated.
Do I need to appear in court?
In most cases, no. Our attorneys appear on your behalf. You will be notified if your personal appearance is required.
Is the $475 fee all-inclusive?
The $475 flat fee covers our attorney referral and coordination services and the assigned attorney's representation. Court fines, DMV reinstatement fees, and any bail amounts are separate and paid directly to the court/DMV.
