Active bench warrant / failure to appear
- Do not ignore it. An outstanding bench warrant can lead to further penalties, hold on your record, and possibly a red light on your driving record.
- Contact the court that issued the warrant as soon as possible to learn the next steps and any lawful ways to address the FTA.

Upcoming court date
- Missing a scheduled court date can result in additional charges or a warrant. Act before the date; do not wait until the day of.
- If you cannot appear, ask the court about legally available alternatives such as appearing remotely or requesting a continuance.
DUI charges
- DUI matters are serious and often time-sensitive. Promptly seek a licensed attorney experienced in DUI defense.
- If you were arrested, note the date and preserve any documentation you received.
Suspended or revoked license
- Driving with a suspended or revoked license carries serious penalties. Do not drive unless you are authorized to.
- Contact the DMV and the court to understand the terms of the suspension or revocation and any reinstatement requirements.
